A very, very sad day.....

I hope this doesn't upset my nephew that I have posted this so soon, but I can't be with them in Arkansas in this awful time, so it's my way of coping. If anything is misspelled, I am sorry, for it is hard to see through the stream of tears.............

My brother in law, Jerry, (pictured above) has left this world. He has been working in Iraq closing out government contracts. His sudden departure from our lives was not due to enemy fire, mortar fire, car bomb, or any other hostile act like you would think considering his location. No, he apparently slipped away in his sleep. My sister is in Arkansas along with her two sons, David (of justpoppedinmyhead.blogspot.com fame) and Brian, their wives, Shannon and Carla, and Dave and Shan's kids, Tyler and Emily. I feel really bad for all of them, I can't begin to express the devastating feeling when my nephew phoned me this morning and told me. His choice of words were interesting in retrospect. He said "Dad passed away". Right away I knew that this was not at the hand of and detrimental occurance or he would have said "was killed" or something. When I refer to my Dad's death, I say he was killed in a car accident, even though he lived for a week in the hospital on life support after the accident.
I will miss Jerry's funny "bop" he did to the music only in his head, his great sense of humor, the good time he had just living life. He was always fun to be with. He had a good time. I will miss you, Na. Love, Wyn

Partridge in a "pair" tree; "Legal" Baby; Dancing with the Stars; Who let the "dogg" out?; TPR; Parent Trap; Check you for Ticks

Gretchen Bonaduce is finally leaving husband of 16 years, Danny. Remember him? Now a radio personality that used to be the little red headed, tubby, middle child on the Partridge Family. He is not that kid anymore. Nowadays he looks like the guy that played Uncle Martin on My Favorite Martian and Mr. Hand on Fast times at Ridgemont High, Ray Walston.
Danny Mr.Hand
Ray as Mad Jack in "Paint Your Wagon."
I chose this pic for the red hair. lol. Am I the only one who sees the resemblence? Anyway, The Partridge isn't a "pair" anymore.

Julie Bowen who plays Denise Bauer on Boston Legal gave birth to a baby boy earlier this month. Her water broke while shooting an upcoming episode. I wonder if they'll leave that in? Cool way to write in her giving birth to the baby that is Brad's on the show.......

I only got to see 3 couples dance last night on Dancing with the stars. Apparently, there was severe weather north of Pittsburgh in Butler County and Mercer. So, the news kept breaking in and showing updates and zooming in on this little town and that little town on the map and giving updates and warnings to take shelter in a safe place. Blah Blah Blah. I was ticked! One at the top of the show followed by the continuous ticker at the bottom of the screen would have been plenty. But No. The freakin' weather wasn't affecting me. I didn't need 15 minutes of the map being zoomed in on every little freakin' town every half hour to tell me how windy it was in New Bethlehem or Oil City or Franklin! Neither did those people. After the initial warning, those people affected probably weren't watching the TV anymore!

Cordazar C. Broadus, Jr., aka Snoop Dogg, pleaded "no contest" to felony gun and drug charges to avoid prison. He got 800 hours of community service and 5 years probation! (????!!) The judge placed "conditions" on the probation.1) that only 400 hours of community service can be "charged off" on his work with the youth football league he started. 2) he could not have any gang members in his entourage. 3) he must provide a medical permit for his use of marijuana for migrains. My bet is that there is no medical permit and he will go to his or a doc and say hey, for a hefty sum, will you issue this medical permit to keep outta jail and by the way, can you back date it, like, say, a year? Felony gun charge. That means he had a gun ILLEGALLY. Not his. Not registered. Get it? What the hell do YOU think he needed it for? Drug Charge. possession minimum. Show us your medical permit and you can go, Mr. Dogg. PA-LEEZ............If it were you or me? Gone. Throw away the key 5-10 per charge....................

Does this make sense to you? A foster child has been in foster care for over 2 years. She is now 3+ years old. The foster parents want to adopt this child and have gone through a very long and drawn out process. The Termination of Parental Rights hearing was today. The birth mother does not show up for this hearing because she is in jail. For what, you ask? Flight Risk for a pending felony child abuse charge. No, not for the child I am speaking about, but a baby she had 6 mos. ago and beat, took him to the hospital and the docs called CYF on her sorry crack ho ass! She doesn't show up for the hearing after being released on her own recognisense at the arraignment. So, back to the 3 year old. Since she doesn't show up for court, they move for a continuance. The Abuse on the second baby is not allowed in court. Why Not? Right. You would think it would be very pertinent to the outcome. But since the authorities did not take the second baby upon it's birth and then it ended up "broken", they can't admit any of that into the 3 year old's case because it was the case worker's fault that didn't want to deal with it! ____________________________

And I heard of a story where a couple is going through a divorce. Through the divorce proceedings, the history of the wife's infidelity comes out. The husband puts a time line together and decides to have a paternity test done on "his" son. You guessed it! He is NOT the father. The woman then names the biological father and gives him custody of the boy. The man she divorced has to pay the biological father child support. Do you b'lieve 'at? The husband is paying child support for the wife's love child with another man!! Unbelievable! I love our judicial system! What are these judges thinking?

well, if you're a country music star, you know the song by Brad Paisley "I Want to Check You for Ticks". Well, it came true today at work. One of the guys that I work with (also my boss' son) went hunting on Saturday. Today at work he pulled something out of his hair he swore was a tick. I don't know for sure if it was or not, but he was convinced he was going to get Lyme's disease. His mom checked his head. My other boss checked his head. With a magnifying glass even. I checked his head. I didn't see anything that would have resemble where a tick's head would still be stuck in his scalp. I told him if he wanted to be sure, to go up to the Medi Help center and have them check. He didn't go. I think his mom was finally able to convince him he wouldn't get Lyme's Disease. But the whole time the song was runnin' through my head and I chuckled quite a bit to myself. I told him he better go home and he and his girlfriend better check each other for ticks..........

Started out as a comment..........;racing wasn't fun

This post was originally going to be a comment to my nephew's blog, but well I got a little "happy" with it all. So, that you know what I am talking about, jump over to his blog :justpoppedinmyhead.blogspot.com, and read the post titled "SMILE! You're on camera! and a sad (NOT) goodbye.." Go ahead. I'll wait.....................................
Oh. You're back already? Ok. So Simon rolled his eyes. We now know cause he was talking to Paula. Do you know he's not as bad a guy as he comes off? Saw an E! biography on him and it was really insiteful. I do think that him talking to Paula while Chris and Ryan were still conversing was rude.

I think my fingers would get tired if I texted as much as Coach Nutt. Flak he received was deserved!

People not as educated as us Americans could believe that catching a virus through a cell phone was possible. When they are only told what certain people (their government) want them to believe, they have no way of knowing any better!

Miss Mexico's dress looked very appropriate to me. I think she was making a political statement that someone didn't like........

Some parents are just, well I don't know what they are actually. The parents of the shooter at VA Tech. Shouldn't they have known how wacked out their kid was. Hasn't it been said that he has extensive psychiatric records? How do you let someone as disturbed as that walk around freely in society? Did he not get any attention from his parents?I guess we don't have to worry about HIM anymore. Why did that mother let her child out on the interstate? Really didn't think that one through now, did she? Now with all the abuse that goes on, most ANYthing nowadays can be construed as abuse, so parents don't have the right to beat the tar outta their kids like when I was a kid. No one turned you in for hitting your kids. Some idiot didn't get in your face when a neighbor kid did something wrong and you told the kid about it. Now, the parents of that kid get in your face and say don't tell my kid what to do! My mom would have gone to jail for sure if I had been raised these days. Ask my siser. Or my brother.

My grand-niece was so glad that the "white" girl was safe on Idol! My nephew said that it is interesting to see the world through a child's eyes. Jordin is probably malatto-meaning her parents are a bi-racial couple. She is very light skinned (especially next to Melinda and Lakisha) but she has black features-nose, hair that kind of thing. As you can see from the pics of my grandson, he is also malatto. My mom once said that the only way there would no longer be prejudice in the world would be if there were children created from "mixed marriages" because those kids would all be the same race............

Racing was not fun for us last night. We arrived at the track after making our usual tailgating plans with all our friends. After out arrival, we notice the new , actually, reworded, sign post at the entrance gate: No Coolers. No beer, alcohol or beverages.A little later, a friend of ours who is also the security guard, told us that he argued at the employee meeting the night before about the new rule, but to no avail. He even asked if they could let people slide for a couple of weeks till the word got out. Shot down on that point as well. he told us that the sign wasn't even posted until 2:30 that afternoon! They never even bothered to put it on the web site. I think they were afraid no one would show up for opening night if they knew before hand about the NO Cooler rule. In the past, when you went to the races, you were able to take your own cooler filled with beverages of your choice to your seat. So, we did. We took beer, pop, water, jello shots, wine, slushies, what ever. And snacks. Chips, pretzels, cheezits, licorice, candy, whatever. Alot of the local track have gotten beer licenses, not to be confused with a liquor license. But, you could still take in pop and water or juice, gatorade or some soft drink. And your own snacks. That's fine. But to not allow you to take ANYthing in? That's plum crazy. I think our track has shot themselves in the foot. We were reprimanded last year for chanting A$$hole to a certain driver because the owners of the track want it to be a family sport and didn't want kids to hear that sort of thing. Well, I want to know how anyone will be able to afford to take their family now. Not only is the price of admission been increased a dollar per person, the food prices have gone up as well. So, 2 Adults:$26, 2 teenage kids: $18, and an 8 year old kid: $5. that's $49 alone to get in the gate! Then you all need something to drink. Beer is $2.50 a can, Mixed Drinks are $2.50 and $3.00. Pop is $1.75, burgers are $3.00, hot dogs, $2. Chips or pretzels, $1.25. You can't afford to feed your family once you get them there! I know that is that way at Heinz Field and PNC Park or Mellon Arena. But I have the choice to stay at home or go to a bar and STILL watch the games. I can't do that with racing. So our choice? Not to go! I think it will be that choice for alot of people and the track will go bankrupt, the property put up for sale, a developer will buy it and it will be a housing plan eventually. So, we'll go see the Gunslingers on Saturdays during the summer.................

WOOOOOOHOOOO, A M Radio show topic

FINALLY!!!!!! Sanjaya goes home!!!! I really couldn't believe that Lakisha was in the bottom 3! Or 2 even! Maybe they couldn't put 3 guys in the bottom 3 and had to have 1 girl? Whatever. She is now saved and we are left with 6. When the 7 did their group number, I'm Alright (Jo Dee Messina), it was soooo good. Blake had personality, Chris seemed to be having fun with it. I don't know. Maybe they are good and they're just so nervous when they have to perform alone, that I think they suck. Could be just me. I thought it was really cool when they showed them boppin' when Martina sang. I liked it when they were singing with Sanjaya on his final on air performance. It was hysterical when he said about talkin' 'bout somethin' other than hair. FUN-NY.
__________________________________
My favorite Radio station's (Froggy 98.3 FM) morning show topic today was "What one thing do you think all people should be able to do?" My knee jerk reaction? DRIVE! And I don't mean that everyone that turns 16 shoud be entitled to a drivers' license, either. I am talking about the people that already HAVE their licenses and are driving on the roads of this great nation! Apparently, just because the DMV issues you a license, doesn't mean you have the ability to drive well. That only means that when they tested you, you were able to manuever the vehicle without too much difficulty, obey speed limits, parallel park, and obey traffic laws, and not wreck the car and give the DMV official whiplash. But, once out of the watchful eye of said official, you drive like an ass. You are in the fast lane on a 4 lane highway where the speed limit is 45. So why on earth are in the fast lane doing 38? You could at least do 48, hell, I'd venture to say you could do 50 and not get a ticket! If you are in the fast lane, you better be passin' somethin' and you better be the hell out of my way! And Parking? Can we not park the car any more? I went to the bank located inside the supermarket to deposit my pay check today, and after that needed to grab a few groceries. I park the truck with out any difficulty ("I'm an excellent driver" to quote Rainman) hop out and go into the store. I complete my banking, pull out my shopping list, and get through with that errand. I come out of the store to find that parked to the left of the truck is a silver Lincoln something or other 4 door sedan. Not a small car. It looks as if it were parked in a pit stall in a Nascar race. The car is crooked with the left rear tire hanging over the line marking the same side of the parking stall. At the head of the stall, a light pole for the parking lot. Now, you know they have that big round concrete base that is painted yellow. So the front of this car is only pulled in to the stall 3/4 of the way so as the driver would not bump the base of the light pole. The front of her car is facing my left fender. It is such a horrendous park job, that as I evaluate the situation, I decide to write down the plate number and make and model and color of the car and go back in the store. I tell customer service of the problem parker, and they page the owner of the vehicle to come to the front desk that her vehicle must be moved! Within 3 minutes, a tiny, (4 foot something) old lady appears. She said to the CSR, I think that's my car! Did I park illegally. Oh I'm so sorry, she says. Was that a handicapped spot and I didn't notice? I thought to my self, not until YOU parked there! I finally told her of the incredibly bad parking job she did and that I did not feel that I would be able to get my truck of it's parking place without hitting her car. So, if she could just back out and let me do the same, she could go right back in her parking place. She agreed to move the car. As we are walking to our respective vehicles, she says, Oh my, my car is really crooked isn't it? (Well, DUH) so instead of going to the driver side door and getting in, she walks past her car and looks at my truck. She said, Hmm. You are parked pretty straight! (See, I told you, I'm an excellent driver) She then says, (not yet......wait for it...........now!) I had a very difficult time getting around your truck to park! (What?!!) The angle in shich she was parked, with the left rear tire over the left side line of the stall indicates to me that she pulled down the lane and didn't have to pass my truck at all! I just said "I'm sure you did" and got in the truck. She backed out, went around the the two rows of cars and I left. Then I saw it! The reason she said she had difficulty getting around the truck to park? She drove extremely close to the right side row of parked cars, then tried to swing into the stall. Couldn't get on the first try, so backed part way out of the stall, back in, back out, back in. She ended up in exactly the same position as she was when I needed her to move! How do you like that? I about peed my pants! Sheesh! I think that all states should retest the elderly every year in order for them to renew their license...............

Idol Chatter, Stars update, another movie

I think this was one of the best Idols ever! Phil did great with Where the Black Top Ends! Jordin was IN CRED I BLE! She absolutely nailed Broken Wing! Melinda was awesome, even though I did not know her song, I though she was great. Lakisha nailed Jesus Take the Wheel, even though, the judges thought she was yelling. No, It's just that strong of a song. I'd love to know what Carrie Underwood thought. So, 1 is Jordin, 2 is Phil. Lakisha and Melinda are 3 and 4 interchangeably. I wasn't thrilled with either Chris' Mayberry OR Blake's When Stars Go Blue. They are at 5 and 6 interchangeably. Sanjaya, well, it was Sanjaya.

Wow, I can't believe I actually placed all the dancers exactly where the judges had! Can't wait to see if I am right that Clyde is the one to go home.........We will probably know before I am through with this post......................Heather and Clyde in the bottom 2! And the one to go home..........................................................CLYDE!!!!!!!Man did I have that pegged? (see last night's post) Good night! One more thing before I sign off tonight........I thought it was VERY touching that Billy Ray wore a black ribbon around that incredible right bicep.............VA Tech victims in our thoughts................

If you read an earlier post of mine about movies we watch over and over, then you know there is a very long list of movies that I like to watch every time they are on. Ran across another one tonight. Dave. About the man who can pass for the president's double, then the powers that be actually put him in the Whitehouse to stand in for the incapacitated President, Bill Mitchell. Really good movie. It may be where I was so convinced that the government does lie and cover up things. No, wait, that was The Warren Commission............I think I was 3 or 4 when that came out.

VA Tech, Stars, CMT's

I am really shocked at the tragedy at Virginia Tech today! So many kids dead or wounded. My thoughts go to the families of the fatally wounded.
How is it that some one is so disturbed to do something so severe and no one sees it in that person? How troubled are you to do something like this? Graduation was so near for so many of these kids, and now, their life has come to a most dispicable end...........
__________________________________________
On a lighter note, are you watching Dancing With The Stars? Clyde sucked. Apolo and Laila Ali were awesome tonight. Perfection. They are 1 and 2. Heather and Joey did well, even though the judges didn't seem to think so. Heather fell at the end, but she WAS standing on her prostetic leg with her other leg up so as to put her foot on her partner's chest. They are my 3 and 4. Ian was good as well. I'll put him at 5. John Ratzenberger (Cliff Claven) at least looks as if he is having fun, even though he doesn't get all the steps right. He is at 6. Billy Ray tries, but you can tell he just is not a dancer and is not comfortable doing this. How can you have a hit with the song for the most popular country line dance of all time and not be able to dance? I put him at 7th. Clyde just plain sucked this week. He may as well not even have been on the dance floor. His partner did all the moves and he seemed to just stand there and take her hands when need be. I am sure you will not see him next week.

Kill the Groundhog, utilities, failing passing, passing of a loved one

Does that lady really have a gun?

I really want to kill the ground hog!! He saw his shadow in February which means that winter weather should have ended by the end of March. Wrong! It is still Freezing cold and we have had more days of snow/rain/hail/sleet than we had the entire winter months! So, when he sees his shadow we have more winter than when he doesn't!! Now, I ask you, is that fair?
___________________________
Since we are still freezing, that means the furnace is still coming on. Usually by this time of year, we can open the windows and enjoy fresh air. That means that the furnace isn't running and neither is the air conditioner. That in turn, means that my gas bill gets lower and my electric and gas bills level off at about the same amount of money for a couple of months! Guess not this year. Winter will stop and it will go right in to summer! Bet ya any money...............
_____________________________
on another note......Why is it that people are afraid to pass trucks and busses when they get the chance. You are on a 4 lane highway. If you are in the left lane and the truck is in the right, it means you can pass them! The road didn't get any narrower just because there is a big vehicle in the other lane. Just like the road doesn't get any narrower when it takes you through a tunnel. (Tunnel. My nephew's first word. Tunnel. But that was 37 years ago......) Anyway, The road stays the same width. They fit in there lane and you have room to pass them in yours. If that were part of the drivers' test.................you'd fail.

My sister in law's Mom died last week. The funeral was yesterday. Having lost both my parents, I know exactly how hard it is on my sister in law and her siblings. The funeral was very nice, and Babs read the eulogy. Very touching. All the kids and grand kids wore something yellow in tribute to Annie. It was her favorite color. She was a very nice lady who raised 4 children in a small 2 story house in Large, PA. She was hip and stylish, but sorrowfully, she looked nothing like the Annie I knew when I went to the funeral home for visitation. She will be missed.

Idol results

Well, J Lo looked hot. I wonder what Simon would say about her performance?

So, Haley was sent off packing. I could not believe that Chris was saved. His rendition of Smooth really sucked! So we are left with 7...........

Idol Chatter, If it wasn't broke, why'd they fix it?

I cannot believe it! I actually agree with Simon tonight on most counts! Nothing really sizzled. But, Blake was awesome this week. Good Song choice for him, he nailed it, it was really good and he has a great personality. It was actually believable. He is my top choice tonight. Second is Jordin. Not overdone, good song choice, and she just has a smile that won't quit and a sparkle in her eyes that I love. Third, is Phil. Even though his voice cracked, he was pretty good. Fourth, and you can not kill me for this, but I liked Sanjaya tonight. His spanish was impeccable, he was soft, sexy and sultry. And I like that he flirts with the camera with his eyes! Melinda looked really awesome, she performed beautifully, but it didn't pop. So, she is #5. Lakisha is #6. I just didn't think Gloria Stephan was a good choice for her, but then again, you are so limited when it comes to the latin songs. Maybe she should have done a Selena song. Great dress, but too revealing for her size. I will put Haley at #7. She didn't pop either. I didn't like her outfit. I think all the girls need to "dance" more. They all seem so stiff and rehearsed. The bottom of the heap; Chris. Smooth he wasn't. He did not do that song justice at all! I called and voted for Phil, now I will vote for Blake and Jordin.(if I can ever get through!)................

I'm cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs! I'm cereal, you Fruit Loop! I remember when you opened the box of cereal and the bag inside that kept the cereal fresh was nothing more than a bag made from wax paper and there was a little splotch of glue at the bottom that held it in the box when you turned it up to pour the cereal into your bowl. That was back in the day. Now, it's rubberized cellophane bag that stretches 6 inches before you can open it at the top seam. Then when you try to pour the cereal out into your bowl, it slides out of the box. Pouring cereal should not be a two handed operation. And lord forbid that you did not make the opening at the top big enough and your cereal gets all jammed up and you have to go in and unclog it! Man, things sure were easier back in the day. Why'd they have to change it?

Justin Beever in Mercury ad; Easter, Back to work

Have you heard of Justin Beever? He is the most awesome sidewalk chalk artist ever! he has done incredible things. See these? Click on them to enlarge each image. They really are incredible! These are really done on flat sidewalks! Notice that you can see the bricks in the computer monitor of the laptop drawing?
Well, they have used his artistic ablility in a Mercury commercial! I saw it for the first time this evening! How cool is that? Well, I just wanted to share.

Easter was very quiet at our house. Just Dean and I. We had the traditional Easter ham and Darlene's famous scalloped potatoes, of course. We had Jordan from Thursday night to Saturday afternoon. We bowled our last night of bowling Saturday night, now, racing and camping season!!!! Yea-ay! Have I told you I hate bowling? I am just not any good at it any more and I don't know why. When I was little, my sister's father in law gave me lessons and I had a 184 avg. Now, I am lucky to have a 124. I guess cause my body is not the same as it was when I was 6 and 7 years old (hellOOOO) and I don't stand the same, approach the same, release the same....I don't know. I just know that it's my payment plan to be able to go to Deep Creek in the fall....

So, after being off on Friday, it was back to work today. It was pretty slow, and all day long Heigh Ho Heigh Ho was running through my head. Damn David. He had to post that on his blog the other day. Now it's stuck in my head. Except I changed the words a bit while it was running through my brain today. Heigh Ho heigh Ho, I'm back to work, it's slow. I have to be here all day long. Heigh Ho Heigh Ho Heigh Ho! Yes, I know I am warped individual.......If you read David's blog, you'll see it runs in the family.........(No offense, Dave)

Easter, the Sky is Falling, The Sky is Falling!, Up a Creek Without a........BOAT?

So, it is once again time for Easter. The time that Christians believe that Christ rose from the dead. Hmmmmmmm. Was he immortal? And why in Heaven's name do they not mention Mary Magdeline being his girlfriend in the Bible? Because we can't preach that Jesus' girlfriend was actually a prostitute? I don't get that. But then, there's alot of stuff I don't get. Especially when it comes to what's written in the Bible.......
_______________________________
No, Chicken Little, the sky isn't falling. It's just April in Pittsburgh! Once again we have snow on Easter weekend! I remember when I was little, wearing my new Easter dress, and maybe wearing a new spring coat, but I don't remember it snowing on Easter! The experts say that we we have had more Easters that it has snowed than we have had Christmas days that it has snowed. Interesting fact there, ay?

Since I was off work on Good Friday (paid holiday for me-yippee!) I picked Jordan up on Thursday night. We took him home today after lunch. I went for a massage today (my birthday present from Dean) and that was incredible. Almost better than sex. Almost. So, while I went for my massage, Dean and Jordan stayed at home and hung out. So, as soon as I leave the house, what happens? Yep. you guessed it. Jordan pooped! Since you don't want to leave that on him for ANY length of time, Dean has to change him! Dean does not do well with poopie diapers! I can just imagine his eyes watering, the gagging, coughing and spitting that was going on during the change. By Dean. I am sure Jordan was fine throughout the whole thing. His aromatic bodily discharge never seems to bother him.........
_________________________________
So, we all went to Walmart last night to get the odds and ends needed to do the easter baskets.I wanted to get bath tub toys for Jordan's basket. Can you find bathtub toys? Nooooo! I wanted some little plastic boats and a rubber ducky and whatever else I could find for him to play with in the water when he gets a bath when he's here. Can you find little plastic boats? Nooooooooooo. So, after wandering around the toy department aimlessly, we find an associate and ask him. He says he doesn't believe there are any little boats anywhere, but they have bathtub letters and number, Wrong! That bin was empty. Well, he says, I know they have rubber duckies over in the infant/toddler section. They sure did! In standard yellow (like Earnie's from Sesame Street) Lime Green, Blue, and Fushia. So, we got one of each color! We did find one boat, but it was not what I was looking for. It was a Fisher Price Pirate Ship that was probably 10 inches long, 5 inches wide at the middle, and maybe 10 inches high at the mast for $12.95! I did find him a nice Pete(lime) green ball, though. He liked that just fine. Threw it and chased it all over the house! But, I just wanted some little plastic boats. I will check the dollar store and hopefully find some. If not, it looks like we're up a creek without a boat...........

Aaaaa-FLAC!!, Surveys

While watching JEOPARDY! this evening, I learned something I didn't know, or even realize before. The catagory was something or other "got" and all the answers in the category had g o t in the questions. The answer was " The voice of the AFLAC duck." The Question: "Who is Gilbert Gottfried?" I never knew that that whiny, goofy guy who always was on Hollywood Squares, then H2 was the voice of the Duck. I thought it was interesting, anyway.
____________________________________
You know how people always email you those surveys so that you can email it back to them with answers to questions about yourself? Well, my girlfriend Lisa sent me one and it was list four things that you....Name four things..... and so on. One of the questions was: Name 4 movies you would watch again and again. Well, I had way more than 4!!! Now, why is it that we do that as a society? Dean watches alot of movies that are teen coming of age movies that I think are really stupid. Like Hollywood Knights. I hate that movie. Why? I think it's because it shows that the only thing on teenagers' minds is is the opposite sex and sex, gettin' a peek at the girls boobies or whatever. I think because he like the movie, too. I just wanna scream 'GROW UP! ARE YOU GONNA BE 17 (MENTALLY) FOREVER?"
The movies that I listed that I would watch over and over (and have) are: 1. The Sound of Music 2. The Turning Point 3. Titanic 4. Days of Thunder (there are lots more, too-Cars, Legally Blonde, Grease, That Thing You Do, Big, Sleepless in Seattle, You Got Mail, Forrest Gump, Apollo 13, Dirty Dancing, Twister, Christmas Vacation, Erin Brokovich, Pretty Woman, Officer and a Gentleman, Runaway Bride, Miss Congeniality, Speed, The Net, Two Weeks Notice, Sybil, A Time To Kill, The Firm, The Pelican Brief.........I could probably go on for days). Notice that there are alot of Tom Hanks, Sandra Bullock, and Julia Roberts movies? Anyway, do we watch these over and over because we thought we missed something the first 18 times, or do we just think they are that good of a movie and want to be entertained even though we know the ending? Isn't the whole idea of watching a movie to find out the ending? I was just curious why watch the same movie every time it's on? I remember being in high school and The Turning Point being on HBO. I watched it every single time it was on. The story line was good, but I loved to watch the dancers......Mikhail Baryshnikov was the most incredible dancer. I wish I could find that movie on DVD..........
